On December 22nd, a commendation ceremony for Beijing's model workers, advanced workers and people's satisfied civil servants was held at the Beijing Convention Centre. The Beijing Sports University team was awarded the title of "Beijing Model Group" by the Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Municipal People's Government for their outstanding performance in the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China.

During the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Beijing Sport University undertook four important tasks: mass processions, service support, mass celebrations and volunteer services. The university specially built the Beijing Sport University Service Guarantee Team for the National Day 70th Anniversary Celebration, with 105 staff members carefully selected from various functional departments and relevant colleges to participate in it.

On October 1st, 2019, at the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, more than 1,400 teachers and students of the university successfully completed the four important tasks and gloriously accepted the review of the Party and the people in front of Tiananmen Square and Chang'an Street. All the staff made an important contribution to the National Day ceremony, which was widely praised by all sectors of the society.

Many mainstream media, including CCTV, Xinhua, People's Daily and Beijing Daily, competed for coverage, digging into the story behind the celebration of the BSU. The three sub-teams of the four tasks were selected by the municipal government as "Advanced Group in Preparing and Serving to Guarantee the Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China in Beijing", and nine people were named "Advanced Individuals in Preparing and Serving to Guarantee the Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China in Beijing ".
