On the occasion of the second anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech on April 13, the People's Government of Hainan Province held a ceremony to start the construction of Hainan Free Trade Zone (Port) and sign the contract. At the ceremony, 33 projects were signed at the main venue in Haikou, Beijing Sport University, The Education Department of Hainan Province and the People's government of Lingshui County signed the "Lingshui  Li 'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone Enter Agreement", and the three parties formally established a comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership, marking the international cooperation of our school has entered a substantive new stage. Liu Cigui, Secretary of Hainan Provincial Party Committee and director of the Standing Committee of Hainan Provincial People's Congress attended and announced the start of the project. Shen Xiaoming, deputy Secretary of Hainan Provincial Party Committee and governor of Hainan Province delivered a speech.

According to the agreement, BSU will actively participate in the construction of Hainan International Education Innovation Island, focusing on sports rehabilitation, sports training, sports tourism, leisure sports and other key disciplines and fields, actively introduce overseas well-known colleges and universities. We will carry out bachelor's, master's and doctor's degree education jointly cultivated by China and foreign countries, as well as youth training education focusing on "three big balls" and featuring water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and rowing in Li 'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone. At the same time, our school will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with international sports organizations, and carry out high-level, international coach and referee training with soccer and other sports as the focus.

The construction of Hainan Free Trade Port is a major national strategy personally planned, arranged and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping. Hainan Lingshui Li 'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone is one of the 11 key parks of Hainan Free Trade Port, which are mainly constructed by Hainan Provincial Party Committee and Hainan provincial government. The Innovation Pilot Zone will start construction in September 2020. The Education Department of Hainan Province and the People's government of Lingshui County shall be responsible for the implementation of the supporting funds and related matters of the central and provincial special construction, the phased construction and provision of campus infrastructure in batches for the cooperative colleges and universities, and the implementation of the "turnkey" project of campus infrastructure. At the same time, preferential policies will be given in terms of school funding, talent introduction, scientific research environment, supporting facilities and so on.

As one of the first batch of "Double-First Class" universities which join the Li 'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, BSU has signed the "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement" with Hainan Provincial People's Government in September 2019. Next, the school will continue to revolve around service education power, sports power，three strategies of healthy China and Hainan "three areas, a center" strategic positioning, based on the "university + base" positioning of running school, to create international high-end sports talent training base, international high level coaches and referees cultivation base, "Industry-university-research" integrated international Sports medicine and rehabilitation base. BSU is dedicated to make Hainan campus become the new era of the "three transformation" comprehensive reform in our school important showcase, construction into international new benchmark for the construction of campus physical education in higher education field.
