On June 19, the Party branch of the graduate school's champion class of Beijing Sport University launched a Party day education activity with the theme of the spirit of “Always Striving to Fulfill Our Mission”. The activity closely revolved around learning the important spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply to all the students in the 2016 postgraduate championship class, and was conducted in the form of on-site visits, video learning and discussion exchanges. Gao Feng, member of the standing committee of the Party committee and deputy vice chancellor, Xing Shangjie, assistant secretary of CPC committee, Zhu Han, executive vice-minister of the Organization Department, all Party members of the Graduate School's 2016 champion class Party branch and some non-Party members of the champion class participated in the activity.

During the activity, all the staff visited Beijing Sport University's Ice Sports Center, Extreme Sports Center and Sports Event Production and Broadcasting Laboratory. During the visit and experience, the students of the champion class were shocked by the new venues and facilities of the school. They are proud of the achievements made in the comprehensive reform of the school.

After the visit, all the staff watched the video of general secretary Xi Jinping greeting the Olympic sports delegation, the national advanced unit in mass sports participation, advanced individual representatives, and the representatives of the national sports system advanced collectives and workers, and watched the report of general secretary Xi Jinping's reply to all the students of the 2016 graduate champion class in CCTV's Xinwen Lianbo on June 18, 2019. They were moved and encouraged again.

    The forum was presided over by Cai Youzhi, president of the graduate school and Party branch secretary of the champion class. The students talked freely about their thoughts and experiences by studying the important spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s reply and what they heard, saw and felt about the overall development of the school. Everyone said that the school had changed a lot. As a student of Beijing Sport University, they felt deeply encouraged and proud. In the process of further study in school, the theoretical level had been greatly improved. They thanked the high-quality teaching resources provided by the school and the teachers for their teaching care. In the future, they would work harder to train and learn. With the spirit of “Always Striving to Fulfill Our Mission”, they would continue to take the lead, work hard, make more contributions to the building of a country strong on sports and deliver more positive energy to the society.

Xing Shangjie, assistant secretary of CPC committee, said that the new look of the school everyone had seen was the result of deepening comprehensive reform and the "three transformations" promotion. According to the school-running orientation of "university + base", the school should not only train a number of world champions who win honor for the country into outstanding talents, but also transfer generations of world champions to the main battlefield of competitive sports.

Gao Feng, member of the standing committee of the Party committee and deputy vice chancellor, said that the rapid development of the school is to better train more outstanding and innovative talents. The next step will be to revise the training plan according to the characteristics of the postgraduate champion class, and optimize and perfect the training mode, curriculum, training path, etc. I hoped that the students of the champion class could actively participate in the development of the champion class, give suggestions for school’s development, and contribute wisdom and strength.
