Do scientific research with the team to help the national team prepare for the Olympic Games

During the critical period of preparing for the Olympic Games and Winter Olympic Games, in the special period of epidemic prevention and control, teachers and students of Beijing Sport University cooperate with the national team for closed management, and use science and technology to escort our athletes to prepare for the competition.

Under the leadership of the Department of Science and Education of the General Administration of Sport of China, the College of Psychology, together with the Sports Psychology Committee of the Chinese Psychological Association and the Sports Psychology branch of the Chinese society of Sports Sciences, has established a team with 40 sports psychology experts, scholars and graduate students in China. The team runs a "Psychological adjustment column for Olympic Athletes dealing with COVID-19". This column provides psychological support services for Olympic athletes and coaches to cope with COVID-19.

In addition, the school of Psychology has launched a hotline "Psychological Assistance for Olympic Athletes to cope with COVID-19", providing psychological assistance 12 hours a day to national athletes, coaches and support teams preparing for the Olympic Games.

The Marxism College, together with experts from other departments, set up a national team to preach ideological and political theories on "fighting against the epidemic and Preparing for the Tokyo Olympic Games". So far, seven courses have been taught online.

The Swimming Academy has developed guidelines for the national swimming team's psychological adaptation to COVID-19.

Professor Tian Hui of School of International Sports Organizations has compiled a Chinese and English bilingual Ice and snow English lexicon, covering 15 sub-items of the Winter Olympics ice and snow events. She also has compiled six volumes of books named "Ice and Snow English Dialogue" and completed the production of four episodes of videos named "Winter Olympics Dynamics".

In cooperation with Beijing Sport University, the Secretary and Administration Department of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee (BOCOG) has published "Winter Olympic Reference", a bi-weekly professional magazine led by the Chinese Academy of Olympic Advanced Studies and the Library. Seven issues have been published since February 1.
