President Xi Jinping held talks with Finnish President Niinisto during his visit in Helsinki in April 2017, and Finnish President Niinisto paid a state visit to China on January 14, 2019. As China will host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the two countries agreed to cooperate more in winter sports and preparation for the Winter Olympics, and will launch a China-Finland Year of Winter Sports in 2019. To implement the consensus reached by the two governments, the Sports Business School of Beijing Sport University successfully held the “First China-Finland Ice and Snow Sports Cooperation Forum” on October 20, 2018, which received overwhelming response in the field of China-Finland Ice and Snow Sports.

To further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between China and Finland in the field of ice and snow sports, conduct in-depth study on the cooperation ideas of ice and snow sports of the two countries, and hold a wonderful, outstanding and extraordinary Winter Olympics, led by the Embassy of Finland in Beijing and the Foreign Liaison Division of the General Administration of Sport of China, and sponsored by Beijing Sport University and People’s Daily Online, the Sports Business School of Beijing Sport University will hold the “Second China-Finland Ice and Snow Sports Cooperation Forum” on June 15, 2019 in Conference Room 1 on the second floor of the comprehensive gymnasium at the National Team Training Base of Beijing Sport University.
