Mr. Zhang Jian, born in June 1964 in Beijing, Han Nationality, member of the Communist Party of China, with a doctoral degree. He is currently a Member of Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of BSU.

He once acted as tutor of Department of Sport Coaching of Beijing Institute of Physical Education, staff member of the Office of Public Assets of BSU, staff member and Deputy Director of Department of Assets Management, lecturer of the College of Education, Director of the Teaching and Research Office of Social Sports, Dean and Head of Sub-Party Committee of the Department of Social Sports, Dean and Deputy Head of Sub-Party Committee of the School of Leisure Sports and Tourism, President and Head of Sub-Party Committee of BSU Industrial Management Group, successively.

He graduated from Department of Sports of Beijing Institute of Physical Education and the Graduate School of BSU.

He was Chairman of Social Sports Steering Committee under the General Association of Sports of Haidian District of Beijing. He joined a number of sport associations, and acted as Deputy Secretary General of China Triathlon Sports Association, member of the 8th Committee of Chinese Mountaineering Association, Vice Chairman of Swimming Committee of the Federation of University Sports of China, deputy to the 13th, 14th and 15th Beijing Municipal People’s Congress, and deputy to the 13th National People’s Congress.
