The broadcast of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games will have a positive impact on the high-quality development of Beijing in the new era. In preparation for the service of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau carried out a lot of specific work in helping the Beijing Winter Olympics 8K Ultra HD trial broadcast, promoting the hi-tech Olympics special project of the Beijing Winter Olympics, implementing the Beijing Winter Olympics cable TV private network construction, strengthening the Beijing Winter Olympics promotion and other aspects and the work progressed smoothly. In his speech, Chang Yu said that as the pioneer of China's high-level physical education, the cradle of high-end sports talents and a university in the China's first batch of “Double First-Class”, Beijing Sport University had always been committed to serving the country's major strategic needs and had made very important contributions in various fields of physical education. Currently, we are in an era that artificial intelligence, 5G, big data, and cloud computing are highly developed. New technologies provide more possibilities for the production and broadcasting of sports events. The traditional sports broadcasting process is undergoing profound changes. The shooting methods, broadcasting equipment and presentation methods are constantly innovating. A batch of new technologies, new applications and new trends emerged, which will give the audience a richer and more thrilled viewing experience. The aim of Beijing Winter Olympics event broadcast is to enable the audience to experience a unique interactive Winter Olympic Games. Chang Yu said that the preparations would enter the “test ready phase” in October this year, which put higher demands on news publicity and broadcast. The broadcast of sports events is a complex system engineering, which combines the scientific nature of broadcast engineering with the artistic nature of broadcast performance. With the rapid development of new media technologies, many new situations and new problems emerged in the production, marketing, operation and other aspects of the broadcast of sports events. It is urgent to conduct systematic research and demonstration by scientific research institutions including universities. We believe that we will have some new ideas and find the answers for the TV broadcast and content management of the Winter Olympics, sports communication research in international communication, cutting-edge communication technology and equipment application and other problems in this forum.
