The 2nd Belt and Road Physical Education and Sports Forum, co-hosted by Beijing Sport University and the Chinese Society of Sport Science, and co-hosted by the School of Education (School of Physical Education) of Beijing Sport University and the School Sports Branch of the Chinese Society of Sport Science, was held on November 20-21 at Beijing Sport University. The theme of this year's forum was " Sport Mutual Learning for Shared Cultural Prosperity". Representatives of more than 90 universities and partner institutions from more than 30 countries and regions, including Japan, Belarus, Lithuania, Canada, Spain, etc., participated in the forum through online and offline means.

He said, " Belt and Road Physical Education and Sports Forum has created a platform for sports and cultural exchange between different regions. The International Olympic Committee is also cooperating with UNESCO to promote the development of physical education. Oleg Matytsin, Minister of Sports of Russia and President of the International Federation of Sport Federations (FIGS), said in his speech: "Due to the epidemic, school sports activities in many countries have to be conducted online. During the epidemic, the best athletes in each country are also using social media to encourage university students to stay healthy. While many sports activities cannot be played in traditional ways and in appropriate venues these days, it is important to recognize that sports can be played at any time, in any place, in any form, and that they are as important as art and music. After the opening ceremony, 18 experts and scholars from home and abroad delivered keynote speeches.
Sub-forums
The experts, scholars, teachers and students exchanged their views on the topics of integration of physical education and talent cultivation, cultural communication of physical education, international experience of physical education development, educational value of competitive sports and AI and physical education development in five sub-forums through an online conference platform.
The Forum is one of the series of academic activities held at BSU in commemoration of its 65th anniversary. Starting from 2019, every year, a rotating university or research institute, together with Beijing Sport University, will co-organize the Forum, focusing on the frontier issues in the field of sports and education.
During the forum, based on the principles of equality, autonomy, mutual benefit and collaboration, the participating universities reached the "Beijing Consensus of Belt and Road Physical Education and Sports Forum.
